Meet Our 7U Coaches

Shane Young
Headcoach
Coach Shane Young leads our 7U Drip team with a focus on fundamentals, confidence, and creating a positive first travel-ball experience for young athletes. At this age, development matters just as much as competition, and Coach Shane is committed to teaching the game the right way while helping players grow in effort, teamwork, discipline, and love for baseball.
His goal is to build a strong foundation for each player — not just in skill, but in attitude, sportsmanship, and confidence. The 7U team is designed to be fun, competitive, and development-focused as players begin learning what it means to be part of the Drip family.

Coe Crawford
Assistant Coach
Coach Crawford has played baseball his whole life and brings a deep love for the game to Drip Baseball. His experience around the sport has shaped the way he teaches fundamentals, teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
As a coach, he believes in helping young players learn the game the right way while still enjoying every step of the process. Coach Crawford’s goal is to help build strong baseball players, but also hardworking young athletes who respect the game, compete with effort, and continue to grow on and off the field.

Dustin Melford
Assistant Coach
Baseball has been a major part of my life for the past 15 years. Growing up around the game taught me discipline, competitiveness, teamwork, and the value of hard work. I played first base and pitched, which helped me understand the game from multiple perspectives and build a strong baseball IQ.
I’ve also had the opportunity to learn from several Division 1 coaches who helped shape the way I view the game. As a coach, I expect effort, discipline, and drive from my players. My goal is to help develop strong baseball players, but more importantly, confident and hardworking young men who love the game.
